"Yipee" My First Swim this Year!!

What a great day I had today. I was finally allowed to go swimming. We go to the beach every day and everyday I try to go in the water, but no.....I'm not sure what was up today but I didn't even ask, I just ran right in the water and waited for dad to throw the stick. It was so much fun. I brought the stick back every time until I was so tired. I carried the stick all the way home. The next thing I know mom and dad have the hose and bucket and oh joy its bath time!! What did I do to deserve this?

Congratulations Satch & Drew

My buddies Satch (Scoldie) and Drew were at a Dog Show this weekend in Sacramento...and they both did really well.

Satchie won Open Dog, then Winner's Dog, then Best of Winners, which meant he went into Best of Breed.
Two of the top five dogs in the US were in the competition, and he took second!!!!!! (Long live the white tips!!)

Drew got Winner's Reserve Dog. This was all done under extreme heat. Satchie's dad said it was sooooo hot....there is no way I could have handled that (well not without ice cream and a swimming pool)

A big newfie wag of the tail to my Karazan buddies. Good luck today. You guys are superstars and have made your papa very proud.

See ya in a couple weeks.

"Buster" we miss you!!

This is dedicated to "Buster."
I never knew Buster, but he was very special to my mom and dad, and to BJ and Beau. Apparently the three of them hung out all the time. Buster was either at mom and dad's or BJ and Beau were at Buster's. They lived right next door with no fence for about 7 years. Buster looks like he was the smallest of the group but he thought he was the biggest! Nothing got in his way. What mom remembers most about Buster is the way that he greeted her when she came home. You could hear him whining from a mile away, and mom says that when she went to visit Buster after he moved he still greeted her the same way. Dad says that the 3 of them would go for walks in the woods together and that Beau would hold Busters lead in his mouth. They were like the three muskateers and Buster was the last of them.
Buster has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and the three of them are together again, having a great time.
I think dad had a real soft spot for Buster.....its the first time I've seen him shed a tear.
Buster you will always have a place in our hearts.
Take care buddy,
Gizzy & Co.
